About OVERLAND magazine

The planet is a stunningly beautiful place, inhabited throughout by beguiling humanity and intriguing flora and fauna, and there is no better way to explore it than from the saddle of a bike.

From a weekend spent riding in a neighbouring county to a year in a neighbouring continent, the versatility and immediacy of motorcycle travel brings a host of benefits, not least a more vivid exposure to the mass of humanity. OVERLAND aims to demonstrate that any bike and any budget can provide an enriching experience.

We are a wholly independent publication that extols the joy of travelling by motorcycle, but that hopes to highlight that with the right to travel we, as travellers, also have responsibilities. These responsibilities shouldn’t be feared but celebrated, as we are ambassadors of our own culture and visitors experiencing another.

Apart from some fantastic images to inspire and stories to entertain, within the 112 heavy-weight pages and perfect bound cover, there’ll be information that intrigues. In every issue we will choose one of the regions visited and highlight some of the social, economic and geographical info that could enrich the travel experience.

We plan to enthuse, inspire, inform and entertain. If you enjoy the magazine, we hope you’ll share our outlook and we’d really appreciate it if you tell your friends about it, or pass your copy along to someone with whom you’d like to share the magic of overlanding. It’s a whole new verb and here’s a whole new magazine.
