Bull-its for kids

MensItalianSFFrontIf your kids travel with you on the bike, you may be interested to know that Bull-it jeans is aiming to launch a new range of ‘child-specific’ protective jeans by Christmas; incorporating the latest Covec material.

The new denim jeans will replicate the existing adult range, matching the specification of the hugely successful versions of the SR4’s and SR6’s. The numbers refer to the seconds of protection were you to slide down the road, measured by CE EN 13595-2 standards.

Ex-speedway rider and CEO at Covec Limited, Keith Bloxsome explains; –

” There has never been any significant investment in motorcycle clothing for children and Bull-it jeans wants to raise the bar. This isn’t a new market, but one that has been neglected. We will be using the same fabrics, technology and production methods, as well as the same protective armour; pillions deserve this and children do, especially.”MensChinoSaharaFront

” The absence of a safety standard for children’s armour means that we are unable to say it is ‘CE Approved’, however we will be conducting our own tests to ensure that the soft-feel memory armour performs as well in children’s garments. ”

Covec offers class-leading ‘high impact abrasion resistance’ and, when compared with Aramids, Covec offers low thermal conductivity; meaning better temperature regulation on colder and hotter riding days and lower heat transfer in the event of a crash.

With almost zero moisture regain, Covec retains its integrity for much longer, whereas alkalines and acids in sweat and washing chemicals affect the life of Aramids significantly. Comparative tests have also shown that Covec offers three times the cut resistance than the Aramids equivalent.

MensCarbonFrontThe size range will match a tried and tested UK standard for 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 year olds. Two styles and three sizes will make up the new Bull-it jeans children’s range with a RRP at £79.99 through the existing dealer and retailer networks.
