Welcome to OVERLAND magazine

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness… Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” (Mark Twain, 1869)

OVERLAND magazine was founded in 2010 and remains a wholly independent, 112 page, quality quarterly publication dedicated to travel by motorcycle. Our planet is a stunningly beautiful place and there’s no better way to explore it than from the saddle of a bike. From a weekend spent riding in a neighbouring county to a year in a neighbouring continent, the immediacy of motorcycle travel brings a host of benefits. OVERLAND magazine aims to demonstrate that any bike and any budget can provide those enriching experiences.

Find OVERLAND in your local newsagent, including ‘Barnes & Noble’ throughout the USA, ‘Chapters’ in Canada and ‘Easons’ in Ireland, as well as independent stores in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway and many more. Feel free to write to the editor, Paddy Tyson, if you’ve got a moto-travel tale to tell. You can check the submission guidelines here.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions and their impact on distribution, we have had to put a hold on magazine production and we are not accepting subscriptions. Brexit and the requirement to register individually with VAT authorities across Europe also means we can no longer deliver to addresses in the EU.
