German motorcycle engineers SW-MOTECH have launched a new generation of their popular HAWK Fog Lights, using the latest LED technology for optimum visibility, long life and low maintenance.
The 10W white lamps project a broad beam of light to improve visibility in foggy conditions and carry the ECE test mark. They are cased in a black powder-coated aluminium body for durability. The two fog lights are supplied with a wiring harness and waterproof toggle switch, so connection to the motorcycle battery is straightforward and requires no specialist skills or equipment, but you will probably want to wire them in so that they are isolated with the ignition key. Switch-fiddling seems to be a past-time of kids the world over and a needlessly knackered battery can be debilitating!
SW-Motech Hawk LED fog lights retail for £250.97 per pair, but fitting kits are extra.
Two fitting options are available. Universal crashbar clamps, which fit a range of diameters from 22mm – 28mm, cost £24.64. Bike specific mounting kits are also available for many bikes, with prices varying depending on make and model e.g. BMW R1200GS (2008-’12) £34.51.
