TagAcam® is an innovative new community app that gives road users audio and visual alerts about what’s coming up on the road ahead.
Designed with descriptive voice alerts (if you’re riding with Bluetooth helmet audio) and colour coded visuals, Cheetah Advanced Technologies Ltd has launched TagAcam on Google Play and the App Store. The groundbreaking new app gives motorcyclists advance warning of road hazards such as potholes, diesel spills and dangerous bends, and all types of safety cameras that are positioned in high-risk accident areas.
Used in conjunction with the wireless SmartButton on the clutch-side handlebar, app users can instantly and legally communicate what’s happening with the wider TagAcam community.
There’s a 7-day free trial when you first download the app, after which a subscription costs just £3.99 per month or £29.99 per year. The optional SmartButton costs £29.99.
As well as being a useful aid to safety for day-to-day riding on ‘home’ roads, with a bit of imagination the TagAcam app could have some interesting applications on overland trips. We’ll be testing it in the coming weeks to see how it performs.
