Overland’s incredible trip to Vietnam had to be postponed last year due to Covid-19, but the new dates are for 25th September – 6th October 2021 and it would be great if you could join us.
We’ve teamed up with RAMS Adventures who have over 12 years’ experience of touring Vietnam, and created a very special tour in the north of the country. It’s not your classic ‘follow the Ho Chi Minh Trail’ (although you can stay on afterwards and do that!) but instead it goes deep into the northern mountains where few Westerners head. There’s a full itinerary of the adventure here.
The bikes are a new fleet of Kawasaki KLX 250s which are perfectly suited to the terrain and the speed of travel, but if you’d prefer a Honda XR400 or a Suzuki DRZ400 we can sort one of those for you. The great news is that the journey north out of the capital Hanoi is on the sleeper train after a day of sightseeing and this relaxation is central to the trip. There’ll be stunning vistas, wonderful food and relaxed starts. It’s a holiday!
The riding varies and a bit of green lane experience or an offroad training day would be an advantage, but there are always alternative routes available, which is something that’s planned for incase bad weather has preceeded our arrival and made any of the mountain routes impractical.
