Dainese have been running racetrack experiences for some time but have now also launched ‘Expedition Masters’. Held from July 27 to August 4 in Iceland, it will apparently allow enthusiasts to express their passion for motorcycle exploration while they discover the untainted beauty of the island nation. However, it’s much more than a straightforward tour where everyone wears their new kit. Although they do, of course; the aptly named ‘Explorer’ outfit.
Dainese are incorporating training camps, held to show participants how best to behave on paved roads and dirt routes, in all weather conditions, with the support of a first-rate technical package. Expedition Masters provides ideal conditions for learning off-road riding techniques in total safety with qualified trainers as well as guides who’ll lead the 8-day exploration.
The tour will start in Reykjavik and will explore the entire perimeter of the island, guiding participants through active volcanoes, geysers, glaciers, and fjords.
The registration fee may seen exorbitant at 7299 Euros, but includes the rental of a BMW R 1250 GS HP motorbike, insurance, accommodation, a qualified guide, training on and off-road, and a professional photo/video service. The full kit provided for the trip will comprise a head to foot Explorer outfit; specifically an AGV AX9 helmet, Antartica Gore-Tex jacket and pants combo, Universe gloves, and Centauri boots, all of which you get to keep. So, if you were looking for some quality new clothing, maybe that’s one way to buy it!
As the bumf says “The Dainese Experience is a program of exclusive activities for acquiring the skills and techniques riders need in order to face any motorcycle experience with confidence and awareness. It provides tools that allow riders to have fun and express their full potential, in total safety.”
