Putting Michelin rubber on your feet!

Ever had that awkward moment in a carpark, at traffic lights or maybe in a fuel station? You know the one, when you put your foot down but lose grip and oops!

Well now French bike gear manufacturer Furygan has collaborated with Michelin – who have a bit of history with the concept of grip – to see if they can’t improve your chances of staying upright and save you buying more indicators. They’ve introduced two new styles of boot, one ankle and one longer, with exceptionally grippy soles.

The Chattan D3O® and Allroad D3O® boots and shoes respectively, combine Furygan’s renowned expertise in rider protection and ergonomics with Michelin’s legendary grip and road performance to create what they’re calling the new benchmark in motorcycle footwear.

Each contributor brings their own strength to the technical features found within both the Chattan boots and Allroad shoes. Furygan’s EASY system dispenses with laces and delivers precise, micrometric tightening to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.

With materials tested in the Motion LAB, there is no need to fear bad weather either, as the robust construction of the shoe, along with the waterproof and breathable membrane, means that you can ride with confidence – even when conditions get tough.

Michelin, with its many years of research and product design of tyres, has created soles that offer enhanced durability and significantly improved grip, ensuring safer riding and walking in all conditions.

Meanwhile, safety is provided by impact protection specialists D3O® with their ankle protectors.

The Chattan D3O® boots are available now in two colours (Black and Grey/Black) for £269.99, and the Allroad shoes for £209. Before you ask, nope, we haven’t yet tested either, although the Allroads look like a good ‘do everything’ pair for a long trip.
