Benelli TRK 502 Test Goes International

Our long-term test of Benelli’s new TRK 502 has now left the country…

It’s easy to make judgments about motorcycles – power delivery, ride, ergonomics etc – on a relatively short test. However, when you set off to actually travel on one, living with it day in, day out, all kinds of design features can become infuriating, or prove themselves a revelation.

It’s why Overland only writes reviews on bikes we’ve spent prolonged periods of time with, and why Iain Harper is currently riding down to the south France. It’s not round the world, but it is a trip that seems perfectly suited to the road-biased Benelli and builds on our earliest observations of this new Italian 500 twin.

Apart from managing our web presence, Iain is a co-founder of the Ted Simon Foundation and on this trip will be calling to see Ted Simon in his Aspiran home, but he’s also taking the opportunity to test the new Walkyr jacket and Wish riding trousers from Halvarssons. We do of course hope it rains heavily and for a prolonged period of time…
