DOJO – £240 to kit yourself from head to toe?

dojo rangeDOJO is an entry-level clothing range aimed at new riders, or those who’d rather spend money on the journey. There’s a choice of jacket, (long or short) with zip-together trousers, helmet, gloves and boots. Top-to-toe coverage for as little as £239.95 all in. It’s probably fair to say that this is a new retail concept, providing CE protection at Captain Sensible prices. Please note, Overland haven’t tested any of this equipment, but we just think that there’s a lot to be said for getting prepared cheaply and then just getting out there to see the world!

Endo JacketEndo Jacket

A traditional style, belted jacket with waterproof hip pockets. The outer shell is constructed using 600D polyester. Inside there’s an ARMR TEX waterproof membrane and a thermal quilted liner with phone and wallet pockets. CE-certified protectors are featured at the shoulders and elbows with provision for an A9116 back protector. And just to be extra safe, there’s a fluo-panelled option to the black and grey colourway. Adjustability is built-in to the sleeves, waist belt, cuffs and Neoprene collar, all features of higher-priced garments.

Sizes Available – XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL
Colours Available – Black, Fluorescent Yellow
SRP – £79.99

Miura Jacket

With the same construction,  materials and features as the Endo, the Miura is a shorter, more aggressively-styled jacket with more appeal for the younger rider. Without the need for sleeve adjusters, hem, cuff and neck can all be altered to suit. The Miura is a very good-looking jacket for an entry-level product.

Hara trouserHara Trousers

These team with either jacket via a connecting zip. These 600 D polyester trousers come with an ARMR TEX waterproof membrane and a quilted liner. CE-certified, height-adjustable knee protectors are fitted. Waist and ankles are adjustable with the latter having long zips and wide gussets to make them easier to get on with boots. Stretch panels are also featured and YKK zips are used throughout. Why settle for plastic over trousers, when for a few quid more you can have the real thing?

WP220 Gloves

These gloves are extremely well specified full stop and would suit any level of rider. Made in heavy-duty Nylon, the fingers incorporate leather panels for grip and stretch panels for good control. A Hipora waterproof and breathable lining is backed up by a Thinsulate thermal liner. Reflective piping aids visibility and the long cuff has a stretch cord and stopper closure system. You could say these glovers were over specified for the job but gloves but gloves are too often underrated when it comes to rider comfort and control.
