There is another marvellous line-up for the 2014 UK Adventure Travel Film Festival: Brilliant films, entertaining speakers, live music and all the usual goonery that makes all of us at Overland want to be there again this year from August 15-17th.
The good news is that there is special ‘early bird’ offer on tickets. If you buy your tickets before 30th April they will cost you £66.00 for the full weekend (without meals) or £101.00 (with meals).
After 30th April the prices will be £76.00 and £111.00 respectively, so it’s worth making a decision now. Don’t worry, the weather will be great!
The venue has increased its fees for the premises and the food, but organisers Lois and Austin have tried to make the impact as small as possible, thus the regular ticket price has only increased by an inflation-busting £1.00! Remember, you can always self-cater, just as you do on a trip, or you could just hang around the campfire cooking competition and sample somebody’s lentil experiment.
There’s a veritable goldmine of Adventure Travel Action this year.
We thought last year’s collection of films was the best ever but this year’s selection may just surpass that! Once again the team have dug deep and trawled far and wide to find some of the finest adventure travel films in the world. From trekking across Yemen with a camel called Kensington, to paddling the Ganges, cycling across frozen Siberia and taking art to the great outdoors of Yosemite…and that’s just for starters… Check out the full list of films here
The ever-popular film-making, travel-writing and publishing workshops are back this year with some new additions and teachers. If you want to join any of them sign up early as the numbers are limited and they do tend to fill up quickly. See full details of this year’s workshops.
Whatever drives you to attend the Dorset event, please also come and say hi at the Overland stand and remember if you’re wearing your subscriber shirt there’ll be another very worthwhile thank-you gift in the offing!
