Continental tyres have announced that (while stocks last) you can claim a free Nelson-Rigg tank bag or Ortlieb 35l dry bag with any pair of their TrailAttack 3s, a road-oriented tyre designed specifically for almost all adventure motorcycles.
The latest incarnation of the TrailAttack series, it comes in a massive range of fitments and offers a revised tread pattern and a new ‘RainGrip’ compound which provides exceptional grip in wet conditions.
More remarkable is the extremely fast warm up times; up to temperature within the first mile apparently, even in cold weather. This grip is available throughout the tyre’s contact surface due to what Continental call MultiGrip Technology, which improves mileage through a wear-resistant central area and provides progressively increasing grip levels towards the shoulder, with no feeling of step as you lean the bike over.
Conti’s lauded Traction Skin also provides an extremely safe and short scrubbing in period when new as it eliminates the use of tyre-release agents within the mould during manufacture.
The Zero Degree steel belt limits tyre growth at high speeds to ensure superb stability, even under heavy braking. At least that’s what the PR blurb says. We are yet to test them.
Just specify whether you’d like the tank-bag or 35l drybag when you order, and the UK importers will ship it straight to your local tyre fitter along with your new tyres.
