Master the Pan America in Wales

If you’ve been tempted by the new Harley Pan America but fearful it won’t actually be any use off-road, and could therefore compromise your dream ‘big trip’, you can now test ride it off-road and learn a host of new skills while you do!

Harley-Davidson® UK & Ireland has teamed up with Dakar legend Mick Extance to launch the H-D® Adventure Centre in Wales, where intrepid riders can learn how to put the Pan America 1250 Special through its paces.
We really enjoyed our time with the Pan America 1250 Special and don’t mind admitting we were sceptical of how Harley’s first offering in the adv sector would actually cope off the black stuff, but this is the very venue we used to appraise it.

Set in in Llangynog in mid Wales, you will receive a full day’s tuition and learn how to master the big machine off road, opening up the full potential of the bike in 1,500 acres of stunning forest.

As well as building confidence in your own capabilities, the H-D® Adventure Centre will highlight just what is possible on the Pan America and Harley hope that, apart from selling more bikes, it will inspire riders to continue their journeys further afield. From novice off-roader to international traveller, the training will help improve a rider whatever their experience level, because Mick and his team have a wealth of experience and training skill.

With seven Dakar rallies to his name and years of riding experience in the toughest conditions, Mick Extance is Britain’s finest off-road expert.

The cost of training for a day is £349 and includes:
• Hire of a Harley-Davidson® Pan America™ 1250 Special fitted with Michelin adventure tyres
• Fuel & insurance for the day
• Full riding kit & helmet, if required
• Intimate on and off-road tuition – with a maximum of two guests per off-road instructor
• Lunch at 4* Lake Vyrnwy Hotel
