As more manufacturers enter the micro-adventure sector, Chinese company Zontes will be launching a new 125 adventure bike later this month.
Zontes has replaced its complete 125cc line-up with an all-new range of water-cooled designs. The new three model range includes a naked sports, modern street scrambler and the adventure model pictured. Each is powered by an all-new Zontes 125cc water-cooled single-cylinder motor, generating 10.8kW/14.5bhp, which makes them some of the most powerful L plate legal 125s on the market.
There’ll be a stainless exhaust, crashbars, handguards and alloy rims with stainless spokes. Bosch ABS is standard which means the brakes don’t have to be linked, and Bosch EFi with switchable sport or eco mapping promises to deliver excellent economy. We are yet to test one to see how this translates into prctical tank range, but hope to soon.
The new models will sell from £2799 to £2999
