In anticipation of motorcycle dealerships re-opening at the start of June in line with UK Gov guidelines, Oxford is flying in 100,000 cotton balaclavas to facilitate the safe trying-on of helmets in store.
The balaclavas will be supplied to Oxford dealers at heavily subsidised prices, so that helmets can be tried on without the risk of contamination; all part of making motorcycle shops ‘COVID SAFE’ as per the new rules.
Oxford think that dealers may decide to ‘gift’ the used balaclava if a purchase is made in-store, and who doesn’t like a freebie!
Thanks to the efforts of a skeleton crew, Oxford has remained open for business throughout the Coronavirus crisis, serving customers all over the world and keeping the wheels of business turning.
The company has been increasing staff levels during May, in order to service increasing demand. This process will continue in June as dealers in England – and hopefully across the whole of the UK – re-open and start selling. Colleagues will gradually return to all departments, but especially in the customer services, order processing and distribution teams.
