RECALL OF KTM 790 ADVENTURE AND 790 ADVENTURE R

MODEL YEAR 2019 AND 2020: REPLACEMENT OF REAR BRAKE LINE

KTM is recalling their 790 ADVENTURE and 790 ADVENTURE R machines of model year 2019 and 2020 to workshops of Authorized KTM Street Dealers in order to check and replace the rear brake line.

Due to material nonconformity in the brake line, the rear brake system may fail under extreme conditions. Therefore, KTM is ordering the replacement of the brake line that leads from the rear brake caliper to the ABS modulator.

Customers to whom the affected motorcycles have already been delivered are being personally informed by letter and are asked to immediately contact an Authorized KTM Street Dealer to arrange an appointment. In addition, customers can check online in the “Service” area on the KTM website to see if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.

The revision of the rear brake takes approximately 85 minutes and can only be carried out by an Authorized KTM Street Dealer. This work is free as it is covered by guarantee, however whilst they would like to have the work completed on all affected motorcycles as soon as possible, customers should also follow current government advice with regards to essential travel. With the majority of Authorized KTM Dealers currently closed, for the time being they advise that you check online and social media platforms for the latest updates with regards to when your local Authorized KTM Dealer is able to resume normal business operations.
