The venerable V-Strom seems to have been around for an age, but it has certainly proved itself a worthy overlander in that time. It’s had a few facelifts over the years but the essence of a slim, grunty, (and in 650 form) economical v-twin remains, and at last Suzuki have also given it factory spoked wheels.
As spring arrives, the Japanese firm is offering low-rate finance deals across its model range and for the V-Strom 650 and 1000 adventure machines this year, there’s also £750 worth of free accessories, including a centre stand. “Hooray!” we hear you shout, though the accessories on offer are also luggage, heated grips, and protective items such as hand guards and engine bars.
Knowing every customer is different, Suzuki’s current finance offer allows owners to tailor an agreement to suit their needs. Customers can choose from 2% APR over two years, 3% over three years, or 4% over four years, and also choose between a PCP deal or a hire purchase agreement.
Over three years it means the new SV650X can be ridden for just £65 per month with a deposit or trade-in of £1,508.32, the V-Strom 650 ridden for just £89 per month over four years with a £1,140.26 deposit, or the mile-munching V-Strom 1000 can be had for £99 per month over four years, after a £1,869.86 deposit.
The A2 compliant new V-Strom 250 is also included in the offer and all new Suzukis also benefit from a three-year warranty, providing added peace of mind, plus a year’s complimentary AA roadside assist. Of course it’s doubtful the yellow vans will appear if something has failed while you’re riding on the Mongolian steppe…
