German engineering specialists SW Motech have introduced a comprehensive range of accessories for the latest incarnation of Triumph’s 800XC/XCx/XCa adventure bike, helping owners to tailor the Tiger for any journey.
A strong versatile luggage system is a priority for many travellers, so SW Motech have developed a complete aluminium pannier and rack kit, tailored for the XC. Their Trax Adventure Panniers are made from tough, lightweight, powder-coated aluminum. Carefully designed to sit neatly around the Tiger’s tail and exhaust system, they add minimal width, but have 82 litres of packing volume. Shaped for increased ground clearance when cornering, TraX panniers feature glass reinforced plastic corner caps to protect against knocks and scuffs, both on and off the bike. Removable lids and quick-release fasteners make loading and unloading a breeze. Four large tie-down points feature on each lid, for carrying extra loads. Trax cases are attached using SW Motech’s patented Quick-Lock system so that both cases and carriers can be removed in seconds, leaving the Tiger completely uncluttered. The complete system retails at £667.91 including VAT.
For added carrying capability, the XC can also be fitted with SW Motech’s Alu-Rack luggage carrier (£80.08). This high strength, machined alloy rack, is a slim neat alternative to tubular systems and is compatible with the Quick-Lock luggage rack extension, which enables the attachment of topcases if that’s your preference.
Protecting both rider and machine are Kobra Handguards (£102.07), which are specifically designed to help keep wind, weather and bushes / branches etc. away from the fingers and controls. Sturdy Crash bars (£136.39), which mount to existing points on the frame, no drilling or welding needed, and an Alloy Engine Guard (£151.36) will also help protect from potentially costly and frustrating damage from low speed falls or when venturing off road.
