Continental update the available sizes of their TKC80 Twinduro

Considered by many to be the definitive multi use, on/off road tyre and used by globe-trotters the world over, the Conti TKC80 Twinduro’s size range grows even wider with the addition of new sizes for the 2013 BMW R1200GS and KTM 1190 Adventure.

The TKC80’s tough compound delivers good on-road mileage and the tyre profiles and casing designs give good stability and handling both on and off road. The tyre’s simple, self-cleaning tread design ensures excellent off-road traction, even in difficult conditions.

Chosen by KTM as original equipment on their 690 Enduro and used in 2012 by the Continental Drift team (the name is a happy coincidence) of Dave Darcy and Darren Higginson on their epic and unsupported ride from London to Sydney in order to raise funds for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, the TKC80’s rugged, durable design proved the perfect tyre partner over the varying surface conditions they encountered.

As well as the more accepted trail and adventure bike sizes there are also 120/70B17 and 180/55B17 sizes that enable riders of bikes such as the KTM 990 Supermoto-T, Ducati Hypermotard, Honda VFR800X Crossrunner, Kawasaki Versys 1000 and Triumph Tiger 1050 to really take on big adventures.
